In addition, a user directly to the section on the website and send a message, and it is seen in the twitter timeline immediately. I love this idea, if you head to the election page - you can see is the constant updating - the interaction is priceless, or useless … depending on who you ask.
By promoting the election - Twitter has finally begun to think about “micro” sites within Twitter that will not only aggregate conversations, but made up of “channels” per say of different topics, sports, fashion, marketing, schools, and dare I say ‘business’?
Let’s walk in one of these channels, oh, look, a great advertisement for the NFL transition. Oh look, now in football channel - with 543 other people talk about football. You see my point. I am not against this at all. I am really 100%. I’m sure Twitter is tired of the criticism heard about their business model and how they generate money. I think this election is the starting point for a ‘big’ twitter is about. Twitter is run by a group of 20 people, that’s it! I am sure their partner channels and VC funds are good, but of course you think ‘more’ and growth.
I know that we would hear people complain endlessly about a new lay-out, as the site to take on niche groups and start advertising in abundance, but I think that only the current use twitter would complain. Look at the people who now want a ban on the new Facebook layout - because they are too lazy for their valuable applications are on the bottom toolbar - in static mode. Facebook was tired of seeing pages that the user would just go for miles with comments, requests, etc … This opened the door to keep everything in the “user level” - instead of slide down in 30 seconds to see what someone said about someone else (you know that you care about that!)
Anyway, this election and what Twitter is’ experiment ‘, is only the beginning of a new style Twitter will undergo. You know. I know. We all know that.
Go Twitter!
